Right at the end of the Skull Chamber, to the left of the passage that leads to the end of the cave called the Latticework Gallery, an isolated black drawing (around 50 cm long) in an area with many bear claw-marks depicts a muskox or ovibos, an animal that nowadays lives in the Arctic and is very rarely portrayed in Palaeolithic cave or portable art. Its identification is based on the downward curve of the horn shown in the engraving, and the line of the back which is unlike that of the bison.
