Ardèche Cave Manager and Preservation Assistant
At Chauvet since 2014, he takes over from Jean-Marie Chauvet, who has retired. His first mission consisted of monitoring safety and checking on the sanitary conditions of the decorated caves in southern Ardèche. He then became a permanent member of the preservation team for missions related to cave safety and maintenance, and personal safety. He also contributes to the enhancement of the cave by transmitting scientific knowledge to associations. His status as chairman of the FARPA – the Ardèche Federation of Prehistorical and Archaeological Research – brings in remarkable dynamics.
