Bone remains are present in all sectors of the cave, and abundant in some. To ensure the preservation of these bones, they have been inventoried and identified visually, without touching them. A total of 4,460 bones have been identified, distributed into 266 separate bone concentrations. Some of these concentrations include more than 100 remains, particularly in the "river of bone" at the base of the entrance scree, in the Hillaire Chamber and the Skull Chamber. The formation of such bone concentrations is the result of the combined and diachronic actions of natural (water flows and transport) and/or animal processes (bears, people).
