Left-hand wall of the End Chamber
At the end of the Megaloceros Gallery, the End Chamber occupies an enormous space below, its clay soil strewn with bear hollows. The Aurignacians explored this chamber fully, down to the smallest recess. While they drew some images on the right-hand wall, it is on the left-hand wall that the majority of the works of art can be found. These are primarily grouped on either side of a concavity, in two spectacular sections (the Great Panel), while others are dispersed across the wall and relief.
