The two harnesses found at Semide are magnificent and testify to the expertise of the Gallic craftsmen. Each one has an articulated iron bit, five bronze buttons, a small decorative plate, two circular bronze rein guides, two large decorative plates and a sculpted bronze breastplate, or phalera. The buttons, plates and breastplate were decorated with pearls and beads of red coral, probably of Mediterranean origin. The riding horse harness from Bourcq is just as remarkable, with pieces of great artistic quality. At Prunay, bronze oxide enabled the remains of the harness leather to be preserved, as well as fragments of fabric, plants and hairs from a fur.
