Eight kilometres west of Acy-Romance, the village of Avançon at "la Voie de Blanzy" was established at the same time, but its position on a major road ensured that its occupation continued until the 3rd century.

The general layout is quite similar to Acy-Romance. The remains of horses have been found in an old grain pit, together with a deposit of unfired weaving weights, and a folded spear and some lead votive wheels, indications of undefined religious practices.

From the end of the 1st century BCE, metalworking developed as an activity. This continued until the village was finally abandoned. The central ditch was used as a receptacle for waste from the forges.
