A scree cone covering the entrance

The entrance used when the cave was discovered was not employed by Palaeolithic people and animals. The prehistoric entrance is concealed by a jumble of blocks resulting from the collapse of part of the cliff above. Research carried out on the entrance scree has enabled the morphological reconstruction of the entrance porch and the dating of the sealing of the cave. This sealing is the reason for the very good state of preservation of the cave.
